The British Association for Shooting and Conservation
Acronym: BASCDescription
BASC has five strategic aims which include continued opportunity to go shooting and high standards. It is within these aims that our interest and commitment to a healthy environment, both in the UK and abroad, sit. Our biodiversity strategy, Green Shoots, gathers biodiversity data from our members and undertakes conservation projects in partnership with others such as the statutory nature conservation organisations, wildlife charities and local people. It is through these actions that BASC and our members help achieve conservation targets in the wider landscape and so working towards the challenge of passing on a healthier environment than we inherited.
