Scottish Raptor Monitoring Scheme
Acronym: SRMSDescription
A partnership monitoring the breeding populations of raptors throughout Scotland.
Contribution to the Atlas
The Scottish Raptor Monitoring Scheme (SRMS) monitors the breeding populations of all raptor species native to Scotland. Monitoring is necessary to identify which species might be in need of conservation action. The SRMS uses this information to provide robust information on trends in raptor populations so we can better understand the causes of population change and identify potential constraints.
