Description

Highlands Rewilding exists to help take nature recovery and community prosperity to scale in the Scottish Highlands and beyond. We currently own two estates (Bunloit, on the west slope of Loch Ness, and Beldorney, along the west side of the River Deveron in Aberdeenshire) and are in the process of purchasing a third (Tayvallich, in Argyll). We manage roughly 2,000 hectares of land on these estates to boost biodiversity, carbon sequestration and job creation. Much of our work focuses on monitoring biodiversity using a range of methods to record species, habitats and ecosystem function, in-house and in collaboration with researchers and other organisations.
