Aggregate Industries

Description

Collection of species records from ecological survey carried out on 31.5.09 primarily concentrating on Moths and Butterflies.

Geographic Description

The dataset does not represent a systematic coverage/survey of Bardon Hill. Location of records is concentrated on the restored area of Bardon Hill.

Purpose

The dataset comprises a collation of Butterfly, Moth, Coleoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, Birds, Mosses and Vascular plants around the restored area at Aggregate Industries Bardon Hill site in Leicestershire.

Data quality

Data is provided by the surveying group who are subject to variable recording ability. All efforts are made to ensure that surveys are undertaken by independent and competent persons.

Methods

This data was produced by a number of local ecologists supplied from Butterfly Conservation, each of whom used methods relevant to the species or habitat under surveillance.
