The dataset comprises a collation of spider, lichen, bird, great crested newt, crayfish and pond surveys carried out for various management and monitoring activities in and around Aggregate Industries' Bardon Hill site in Leicestershire.
Data quality
Data is provided by the surveying group who are subject to variable recording ability. All efforts are made to ensure that surveys are undertaken by independent and competent persons.
Methods
This data was produced by a number of ecologists from various consultancies, NGO's and volunteer groups, each of whom used methods relevant to the species or habitat under surveillance.
