Description

This dataset includes all records generated of Eiseniella tetraedra through the monitoring of freshwater macroinvertebrates in England's waterways by the Environment Agency between 1965 and 2020.

Geographic Description

Records ranged across England. Sampling effort may vary over time and geographically. Records were provided at a resolution of 100m squares. All records were submitted to the NBN Atlas at full resolution with no access constraints.

Data quality

All records are 'Considered correct'. The ESB has not verified individual records with the determiners, though it should be noted that specimens were identified by Environment Agency staff trained in invertebrate identification. Data should therefore be checked against original sources before use in contentious circumstances. The data has not been checked using NBN Record Cleaner. The range of Eiseniella tetraedra is not currently known.

Records resulted from kick sampling of waterways in England for macroinvertebrates.
