Small Acalypterate Families Recording Scheme - records via iRecord
Dipterists Forum
Description
This recording scheme covers 15 families of acalypterate flies, each of which contains a relatively small number of species. The dataset contains records verified via iRecord (including records sourced from iNaturalist UK). Records for four families are currently included: Aulacigastridae, Braulidae, Dryomyzidae and Piophilidae. Additional families will be added in future. The Recording Scheme was first formed in 1999 (Dipterists Forum Bulletin #47) in anticipation of improved expertise, interest, records and recording methodology. Such conditions were met in 2022.
