The dataset comprises records of shieldbugs and allied species uploaded to the photo-sharing website Flickr (<a href="www.flickr.com">www.flickr.com</a>)
Data quality
Since almost all the British shieldbugs and allies can be identified from a good photograph, including the nymphs of many species, I have a very high level of confidence in the quality of these data.
Methods
All records relate to insects determined from photographs, the vast majority are photographs of live insects taken in the field
