SEWBReC Marine and other Aquatic Invertebrates (South East Wales)

South East Wales Biodiversity Records Centre

Description

All bryozoan, coelenterate (=cnidarian), comb jelly (Ctenophora), echinoderm, protozoan, sponge (Porifera), tunicate (Urochordata) records held by SEWBReC for the South East Wales region.

Geographic Description

Primarily within the SEWBReC area (Glamorgan and Gwent) and intersecting with the SEWBReC boundary. There are however additional records from outside this area that have been entered using SEWBReCORD (our online recording webiste) as we maintain the top copy of these records.

Purpose

These records have been collated from a wide variety of sources both recent and historical.

Data quality

The data has been checked with NBN Records Cleaner (04/03/2016). As there is no county recorder these are largely unverified, although some will have been through the iRecord verification process.

Methods

Data have been collated from a wide range of direct observation sources. Method and spatial accuracy of records vary by individual recorder.
