UK Cranefly Recording Scheme
Description
The UK Cranefly Recording Scheme promotes the study and recording of the Tipuloidea (Cranefly families; Tipulidae, Limoniidae, Pediciidae, and Cylindrotomidae. Addition to this are the groups Trichoceridae (winter gnats) and Ptychopteridae (fold-winged craneflies). It was formed in 1973 by Alan Stubbs and is allied to the Dipterists Forum.

This dataset contains records of the Tipuloidea (cranefly families Tipulidae, Limoniidae, Pediciidae and Cylindrotomidae). Added to this are the families Trichoceridae (winter gnats) and Ptychopteridae (fold-winged craneflies). Records submitted are two-fold; data received via the UK Cranefly Recording Scheme and added to iRecord by Pete Boardman, and data added by other recorders directly.
